Magical Touch, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, became her sires 150th European-bred Stakes winner when taking the Listed Hoppegartener Steherpreis decisively at Hoppegarten on Saturday, 10 August. Settling midfield on the rail, the Henri-Alex Pantall trained filly was shaken up two and a half furlongs out, switching to the outside and surging clear to win by three and a half lengths.
A Godolphin homebred, Magical Touch is the fourth foal and best performer out of Criticism, a G2 winning daughter of Machiavellian. She is a daughter of G2 winner Innuendo, a half-sister to Group winners Barafamy and Moon Queen, out of the G1 heroine Infamy.
Dubawi sired his 40th individual G1 winner in 2019 with Coronet taking the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. He is also the sire of the dual G1 winning three-year-old Too Darn Hot as well as the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic victor Old Persian.
