Raahy, a first-crop son of Brazen Beau, became his sire’s seventh individual European winner when taking a five-furlong Novice contest on Saturday, 29 June at Lingfield. Placed on his previous two starts, the two-year-old drew clear in the final furlong to win decisively by four lengths.
A £50,000 yearling purchase bred by Haddenham Stud, Raahy is a half-brother to two winners out of the winning Pivotal mare Moonlight Mystery. They hail from the extended family of Group winners Mokabra and Noble Protector.
Brazen Beau is now the sire of seven individual European winners headed by the Listed winning filly Avengers Queen and the G2 Norfolk third Dubai Station. Brazen Beau is also the sire of three Black Type performers in his native Australia including Listed winner Accession and G2 placed Tassort.
