Al Hilalee, a three-year-old son of Dubawi, added a first Group victory on Sunday, 16 June when taking the G2 Prix Hocquart at Chantilly. A Listed-winning juvenile last season, Al Hilalee set the early pace, holding off a late challenge from Soft Light (Authorized) in the final 100m to win by a neck.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Al Hilalee is the first foal out of Authorized’s G1-winning daughter Ambivalent. She is a half-sister to Diary, dam of G1 Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp victor Total Gallery.
Dubawi has now sired 21 Stakes winners this season with 15 of these at Group level. These include Old Persian, Ghaiyyath, Anna Nerium and Lah Ti Dar.
