Safe Voyage (Fast Company) maintained his superb record this year, and at Haydock, winning his third race on the bounce and second at Stakes level with an impressive victory in the G3 John Of Gaunt Stakes.
Settled towards the rear of the field under Jason Hart, Safe Voyage was still cruising as the field began to quicken for home and once asked for his effort, soon moved up to take the lead. He was never troubled, running on well to win the seven-furlong contest by a length and three quarters.
This was the second consecutive Stakes win for John Quinn’s charge, who took the Listed Spring Trophy Stakes over the same course and distance last month.
Safe Voyage was bred by Scheider Adolf and is the best performer to date out of the Stakes-placed Mujadil mare Shisangaan.
Fast Company is also sire of G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Jet Setting, plus 2018 G1 Arlington Million hero Robert Bruce, who has no fewer than five victories at the highest level to his name. He lines up in tonight's G1 Manhattan Stakes at Belmont Park, US.
