Dubawi’s Australian legacy was extended by at least one more season thanks to the victory of Ball Of Muscle in the G3 Heath Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday, 1 September.
The stallion who is enjoying another outstanding year in the northern hemisphere hasn’t been a member of Darley’s Australian roster for a decade, but his influence is still strongly felt.
Ball Of Muscle, a member of his final southern hemisphere crop, had won nine times before his latest success which is his fourth at Stakes level.
The gelding is also a member of an impressive female family, her dam Parfore having produced nine foals, five of them Stakes winners including the G1 winner Terravista, Tiger Tees, Super Easy and Our Lukas.
Dubawi recorded his 100th individual Group winner in July – becoming the first British-based stallion to do so.
His three G1 winners so far in 2018 are Benbatl, Wild Illusion, North America.
