Dubawi’s runners are simply on fire at the moment and on Tuesday, 21 August, he recorded his fourth Black type winner in less than seven days when three-year-old colt Glorious Journey won the G3 Prix Daphnis.
Sent straight to the front under William Buick, Glorious Journey dictated the pace throughout the one-mile contest and once asked to quicken, soon moved clear and easily held off his rivals to win by two lengths.
This was the second win at Group level for Charlie Appleby’s charge, who runs in the colours of HH Sheikha al Jalila Racing, following his victory in the G3 Prix la Rochette last year.

In addition to his recent success on the racecourse, Dubawi has also been making waves in the sales ring once again, with his colt out of Classic winner Just The Judge topped the Arqana August Yearling Sale, knocked down to Ballylinch Stud for €1.4 million.
