Intimation, one of 47 Stakes performers sired by Dubawi this season, landed her biggest carer victory when winning the G3 Prix de Flore on Sunday, 22 October. Always prominent under Mickael Barzalona, she challenged the pacesetting Listen In a furlong from home before pulling clear near the finish to record an authoritative success.
She has been running with credit in Stakes company this season and was adding to her victory in the Listed Garnet Stakes last year.
Owned and bred by Cheveley Park Stud, she is a half-sister to multiple G2-scorer Mutakayyef, who was also placed three times at the highest level. Her dam, the Pivotal-mare Infallible, won the G3 Nell Gywn Stakes before placing in the G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. She also has a colt foal by Derby winner Golden Horn.
Dubawi has sired seven G1 winners this year. Within the past month Wild Illusion and Mubtaahij became top-flight scorers with the rest made-up by three G1-winning fillies in Bateel, Sobetsu and Nezwaah, the four-year-old colt Zarak, winner of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and US winner Almanaar.
