Rare Rhythm, a son of Dubawi who had won at Royal Ascot on his previous start, landed his first Stakes race on Saturday 15 July when gamely repelling all his rivals in the Listed Silver Cup. Chasing the early pace set by High Jinx, he took up the running over two furlongs from home and stayed on dourly to win by two-and-three-quarter lengths, beating Cape Cross’s son Barsanti.
The lightly raced five-year-old has now won four of his seven starts.
Bred by Highclere Stud and Floors Farming, Rare Rhythm is a son of the Stakes-placed Singspiel mare Demisemiquaver and from the family of top-flight winners Miss Satamixa and Blue Bunting.
Dubawi, who recently sired his 30th G1 winner through his daughter Nezwaah, has sired 18 Stakes winners in 2017 including G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud hero Zarak, U.S. top-flight winner Almanaar and G1 Prix Saint-Alary heroine Sobetsu.
