Fast Company’s first southern hemisphere crop have been making a great impression so far and on 2 June, he sired his second Group winner inside a week when Robert Bruce took the G2 Gran Premio Criadores Machos Carlos Hirmas, run over a mile at Santiago, Chile.
Held up towards the rear during the early stages, the two-year-old colt was asked to quicken as the field entered the home straight and could not have been more impressive as he swept past his rivals and won going away by four and a quarter lengths.
This was his second victory in as many starts, having won by two and a half lengths on his debut last month.
Robert Bruce was bred by Haras Convento Viejo and is out of G1 winner Lady Pelusa (Orpen).
Fast Company is now sire of five individual Group winners, headed by G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting and fellow G2 winners Devonshire, Baitha Alga and El Notario.
