Poet's Voice recorded his third European Classic winner from his first two crops when Poetic Dream triumphed in the G2 Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen (German 2,000 Guineas) at Cologne on Sunday.
Poetic Dream led home a Darley-sired 1-2 in the one-mile Classic, finishing fast to overhaul the favourite Lockheed, a son of Exceed And Excel. Poetic Dream, trained by Andreas Wohler for Jaber Abdullah, was bred by Rabbah Bloodstock out of the Listed Lingfield Oaks heroine Zain Al Boldan.
Poet's Voice sired the winner of this year's Italian 1,000 Guineas in Mi Raccomando and G3 Oh So Sharp Stakes heroine Poet's Vanity also hails from the same Classic crop. The son of Dubawi">Dubawi is also responsible for last year's Italian 2,000 Guineas winner Poeta Diletto and G3 Italian winner Voice Of Love.
