Soldier's Girl strikes for Sepoy

Filly becomes fifth northern hemisphere winner for her sire

Soldier's Girl struck at Kempton on Wednesday evening to become the fifth northern hemisphere winner for Sepoy.

Trained by Richard Hannon for Saeed Manana, the filly built on the promise of her second place on debut at Ascot last month to make all and defeat eight rivals in the seven furlong contest.

Out of the Holy Bull mare Crystal Bull, Soldier's Girl is a half-sister to six winners including Air Crew, a multiple Stakes winner in Italy.

Sepoy has already been represented by the Stakes winner Bailey's Showgirl in Europe as well as Kilmah, who finished runner-up in the G3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot last month, while he is also responsible for two black type performers in the southern hemisphere.
