Dubawi’s three-year-old daughter Rose de Pierre took the step up in class in stride on Tuesday 2 August when remaining unbeaten in the Listed Platinum Stakes at Cork. The winner of her two previous starts, both over a mile at the Curragh, she was always travelling well and after going clear, held off the late rally of Flight Risk (Teofilo) in second.
Owned and bred by Moyglare Stud Farm, Rose de Pierre is the first foal of Irish Champion mare Profound Beauty, the winner of seven individual Stakes races in a glittering career. From an excellent family that also includes Irresistible Jewel, Princess Highway (Street Cry) and Royal Diamond (King’s Best), she also has a yearling colt by Dubawi.
Dubawi is again enjoying a tremendous 2016, now becoming the sire of 18 individual Stakes winners. Amongst his nine Group winners are the Coronation Cup winner Postponed, G2 scorers Dartmouth, Time Test and Safety Check and G3-winning fillies So Mi Dar, Left Hand and Journey.
