Tenth G1 winner for Cape Cross
French-bred Cape Cross six-year-old He’s Your Man (who raced in Europe as I’m Your Man) prevailed by the barest of margins in the G1 Epsom Handicap over a mile at Randwick to become his sire’s 10th G1 winner, October 4.
A winner of the G3 Kingston Town Stakes at his previous start, He’s Your Man was given time to find his feet back in the field by jockey Joao Moreira. He came with a powerful finishing burst in the straight to grab Royal Descent in the final stride and score a nose victory.
Bred by NP Bloodstock Ltd, He’s Your Man is out of the winning Arazi mare Via Saleria – also dam of G1 filly and Black type producer Perfect Hedge.
The sire of 90 Stakes winners, among Cape Cross’ ten winners at the elite level include Sea The Stars, Ouija Board and Seachange.
