Warwick Stakes for Tiger Tees
Having started first-up down the Flemington straight last time out for victory in the G3 Aurie’s Star, Dubawi gelding Tiger Tees headed to Randwick on Saturday August 23, recording his seventh career Stakes victory, taking out the G2 Warwick Stakes over 7f.
Jumping from his wide barrier and slowly heading to the lead, Tiger Tees controlled the race throughout, extending on the turn to take the race in impression fashion, winning by a length-and-a-quarter from Royal Descent.
With his half-brother winning the prior race on the card, the G3 Show County Quality, Tigers Tees was bred by M J Ryan, being out of the winning Gold Brose mare Parfore, making him a half-brother to fellow Stakes winners Super Easy, Our Lukas and Terravista.
As the sire of 78 Stakes winners highlighted by 15 individual G1 winners including Lucky Nine, Secret Admirer, Night Of Thunder and fellow Darley stallions Poet's Voice and Monterosso, Dubawi recently achieved an impressive milestone, becoming the quickest ever stallion to achieve 50 career Group winners.
