Another star for Dubawi
Dubawi’s amazing year continued with four-year-old mare Bippo No Bungus becoming her sire’s 27th Stakes winner of 2013 with a narrow victory in the Listed Starstruck Classic over 8f at Ascot, Western Australia, December 21.
G2-placed as a three-year-old last season, Bippo No Bungus broke her Stakes duck with a thrilling nose victory for father-son combination, trainer Neville Parnham and jockey Steve Parnham.
Bred by John and Helen North at Bowness Stud, Bippo No Bungus is the fourth foal and fourth winner for unraced Quest For Fame mare Quest For Pleasure, a daughter of G1 VRC Oaks winner Sandy’s Pleasure. Quest For Pleasure is also the dam of G2 winner Torio’s Quest.
Dubawi has sired five individual G1 winners this year alone, including Al Kazeem, who triumphed at the highest level on three occasions in 2013. His ratios of 14 per cent Stakes winners and nine per cent Group winners are unmatched by any other stallion.
He stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £100,000 Special Live Foal.
