Letting her legs do the talking
Two-year-old filly Lesstalk In Paris, from the best crop yet by Cape Cross, successfully stepped up to Pattern company on only her second start, running out the comfortable winner of the one-mile G3 Prix d’Aumale at Chantilly on 10 September.
Settled in fourth position, the Jean-Claude Rouget-trained filly was asked to quicken once entering the home straight and once she found racing room, accelerated impressively to win by three-quarters of a length.
She is now unbeaten in two starts, having broken her maiden on her racecourse debut at Deauville last month.
Bred by Skymarc Farms Inc, Lesstalk In Paris is out of the multiple Group winner Top Toss, who won this race herself as a juvenile. She is also dam of this year’s G1 French 2,000 Guineas second Dastarhon.
She is one of many superbly-bred juveniles from Cape Cross’s first crop conceived after Sea The Stars romped to six consecutive G1 victories.
Cape Cross has five yearlings due to sell at next month’s Goffs Orby Sale, plus a further eight catalogued in the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Part 1.
