Dubawi sires his 33rd Group winner
Barely an hour had passed after Dubawi had sired his 11th G1-winner through Al Kazeem at the Curragh, than Principe Adepto became a new Group winner for his sire in the G2 Premio Carlo Vittadini over a mile at Milan. A tough five-year-old who was recording his fifth career victory, he went two places better than last season when third in this corresponding race.
Bred in Kentucky by Allevamente La Nuova Sbarra, Principe Adepto is out of the Stakes-winning mare Aischa, who is herself a half-sister to Authorized's Group-class stayer Tenenbaum.
Dubawi, who stands at a fee of £75,000 Oct 1st, SLF, has now sired 33 Group winners including 11 at the highest level. As well as todays G1-winner Al Kazeem, other top-flight scorers in 2013 include Hunter's Light, Lucky Nine and Willow Magic. Dubawi stands alongside his Queen Elizabeth II Stakes-winning son Poet's Voice at Dalham Hall Stud, who covers at a fee of £12,000.
