Charlie Em classy in G3 Senorita Stakes
Charlie Em took her US debut in style on 11 May with a determined victory in the G3 Senorita Stakes at Hollywood Park. It was the first Group win for the Kheleyf filly.
In the one-mile turf race the three-year-old filly stalked the pace in second. At the top of the straight she took command and held off her foes in the final strides for an impressive victory. Bred by Highfield Farm LLP, Charlie Em is out of the Stakes-winning Pivotal mare Miss Meggy.
Kheleyf was Europe's leading sire of juveniles in 2012, with a remarkable 42 two-year-old winners. Charlie Em joins his other Group winners, which include Penny's Picnic (who lines up in today's French 2,000 Guineas), Sayif, and Percolator.
Kheleyf stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £6,000, October 1st special live foal.
