Sires’ Produce to Camporella
Having never finished out of the places in her seven career starts, two-year-old Exceed And Excel filly Camporella produced one of her best efforts to date, winning the G3 W.A. Sires’ Produce Stakes over 7f at Ascot on 20 April in Australia.
Normally a jump and run filly, connections had the filly settle behind the leaders and when they began to tire, she made her move, accelerating impressively to capture her third Stakes success.
Bred by Newhaven Park Stud, Camporella is out of the Listed Scone Dark Jewel Classic winner Really Flying and comes from the family of G1 winners Easy Rocking and Fairy King Prawn as well as fellow Exceed And Excel Stakes winner Mrs Kipling.
Experiencing a stellar period at present in Australia, Exceed And Excel has been represented by recent G1-winning fillies Overreach (Golden Slipper) and Guelph (ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes) as well as fellow juvenile Stakes winners Sidestep, Champollion, Kuroshio and Safeguard.
Currently leading the Australian Sires’ table, Exceed And Excel has been represented by 69 Stakes winner globally including Darley’s triple G1 winner Helmet, Excelebration, Margot Did and Reward For Effort.
The sire of 14 individual Stakes winners worldwide in 2013, more than any other stallion, Exceed And Excel is standing at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £35,000 October 1st SLF, while Helmet stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €10,000.
