Lady Of Harrods all the way
Dubawi’s three-year-old daughter Lady Of Harrods made all the running to land Saturday’s G3 HDF McNeil Stakes over six furlongs at Caulfield.
Appreciating the firmer surface, Lady Of Harrods drove through to assume the lead after 200m and was never headed. Clear into the straight she showed plenty of fight to hold the late challenges and score by a head.
Bred by J E Abrahams, Lady Of Harrods is out of Royal Conspiracy, a daughter of Strategic and a half-sister to the G2 Black Opal Stakes winner Fraud.
Lady Of Harrods is the 45th Stakes winner for her sire, the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Prix Jacques le Marois hero Dubawi, who is the sire of eight Group 1 winners, including Poet's Voice.
Dubawi topped the BBAG Yearling Sale in Germany on Friday when his daughter out of Elusive Flash sold for €320,000, while a colt out of Ronaldsay topped the first day of the DBS Premier Sale at £180,000.
