The extraordinary run of success being enjoyed by Kheleyf's first crop continued on Friday evening at Chester when Transcentral scored a determined win after making all the running around the tight course. He becames the sixteenth winner for the young stallion, who is now leading sire of two-year-olds in Europe as well as leading first-season sire, both by number of individual winners.
A phenomenal fortnight has seen ten new winners for Kheleyf, plus a track record-breaking Group Three win for Percolator in France and a close call for Sayif (pictured, left), who was only beaten a short-head in the G2 July Stakes.
His fellow Darley resident Exceed And Excel can claim leading first-season honours by prize-money won and he also extended that advantage on Friday when Night Seed won at Newbury to become his ninth winner. His first-crop stars include Royal AScot winner Flashmans Papers and G2 runner-up Spin Cycle.
In Australia on Saturday, previous winner Very Discreet, from Exceed And Excel's first Australian crop, accrued some black type when runner-up in a Listed event at Morphettville.
