After a promising debut third at Newmarket, Ndaawi went two places better on his second career start on Sunday, 28 August at Goodwood. Trained by Andrew Balding, the juvenile son of Cracksman battled gamely in the final furlong for a narrow win, showing promise for further in the future.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Ndaawi is one of nine winners bred by the Stakes-winning Barathea mare Mount Elbrus. Amongst her progeny is the Listed winner Lava Flow, dam of the European Champion juvenile Pinatubo.
Dual European Champion Cracksman has now sired ten individual winners from his first crop. They include unbeaten Stakes winning filly Dance In The Grass, the Listed-placed Aloa, and the highly rated winners Madly Truly, Rich, Crackovia and Miss Dynamic.
