Won last year by Teofilo’s Diplomat, the G2 Premio Presidente della Republicca fell to a Darley stallion for the second successive season as Manduro’s four-year-old son Time To Choose landed the 1800m contest in Rome. In a race dominated by Darley stallions, he beat Raven’s Pass’s admirable Greg Pass with Voice Of Love (Poet’s Voice) back in third.
Making his tenth career start, the consistent Time To Choose’s victory total now numbers seven with the remaining three runs all placed efforts.
Bred by Razza del Velino SRL, Time To Choose is a son of the Stakes-placed Orpen mare Penfection, who has produced three Stakes performers including Baby Revolution and Belly To Belly (Dubawi).
Manduro, who is covering this season at a fee of €7,000, is the sire of five G1 winners including star stayer Vazirabad and French juvenile winners Ultra and Mandaean.
