Third Stakes victory for Trudeau
Singapore regular Trudeau, an Australian-bred son of Exceed And Excel, won his third Stakes victory on Sunday June 8 when landing the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor over 2000m in Malaysia. The winner of nine career races and over $600,000 in prizemoney, he was the winner of a brace of Singapore Listed races in 2013.
Bred by Darley, he is out of the Kris mare Canadian Legacy, herself a sister to G2-winner and Oaks filly Hawajiss. He is from the family of Fast Company and this seasons New Zealand G1-winner Nashville.
Exceed And Excel is the sire of nine top-flight winners including leading Australian juveniles Helmet, Guelph, Earthquake and Overreach. From his European crops he has leading miler Excelebration and last season's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf hero Outstrip.
