After offering breeders the chance to win a free 2018 nomination to stunning G1 Middle Park Stakes winner Charming Thought, Darley is delighted to announce that Daniel James has been selected as the winner of its #thinkingCharmingThoughts competition.
His winning entry, made after seeing Charming Thought in the flesh at Dalham Hall Stud last week, was, “A CHARMING horse that filled my mind with THOUGHTS of success!”
Speaking after receiving the news that he had won, Daniel James said, “I am very pleased, I really like the stallion and was intending to use him anyway.
“Maybe you’ll be reading about the offspring of this nomination in a few years’ time when it wins.
“Charming Thought is a smashing horse and was a really good two-year-old.
“I’m over the moon, absolutely chuffed!”
Other entries received were equally complimentary and included:
“Handsome, charming, thought provoking”
“A great-looking stallion with a charm all of his own!”
“A Book 1 sales horse, a Group 1 racehorse, an A1 stamp of a horse, what more do you need?”
“Le Beau Charme!”
“Have you been through the Thought process”
“Stunning to look at, a page to match”
A 625,000-guinea yearling, Charming Thought beat both 2,000 Guineas third Ivawood and future Champion sprinter Muhaarar to land the G1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket. Charming Thought stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £6,000, October 1, Special Live Foal.
