Tastahil lands Aston Park Stakes

New Stakes winner for Singspiel as his son records a plucky victory at Newbury

Singspiel's five-year-old son Tastahil ran out the game winner of the Listed Aston Park Stakes at Newbury on 16 May, becoming his sire’s 66th individual Black type winner.

Leading from the early stages, Tastahil was headed close to home by the favourite All The Aces but battled impressively to regain the lead and win the 13-and-a-half furlong contest by half a length.

Out of the Shaadi mare Luana, Tastahil is a half-brother to Halling's multiple Group winner Hattan and is from the family of Warrsan and Luso.

Singspiel, who stands at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket, has sired nine Stakes performers this year including Eastern Anthem, who became his tenth G1 winner when landing the Dubai Sheema Classic on Dubai World Cup day.
