Iffraaj’s consistent son Forjatt landed his second career Stakes race on Sunday 6 December when taking the Listed National Day Cup in the UAE. Run over Abu Dhabi’s one-mile turf course, he was victorious by a length-and-a-quarter, in the process adding to his G3 victory two seasons ago in the Jebel Ali Mile (a race he also won last season before being disqualified).
Bred by Michael Downey & Roalso Ltd, Forjatt is a half-brother to two winners including the fourteen-time scorer Amenable.
Forjatt is one of 33 Stakes winners for her sire Iffraaj, who has also produced G1 winners Turn Me Loose, Rizeena, Chriselliam, Benvenue and Wootton Bassett. This year, he has sired G2 Mill Reef Stakes winner Ribchester, fellow G2 winner Serena Miss, plus G1 performers Nathra, Magic Artist, Latharnach and Sardaaj.
