Sixth winner for Raven’s Pass
Godolphin’s Blue Wave, a two-year-old colt by freshman sire Raven's Pass, added his name to the winners' sheet on Saturday evening when landing a Lingfield maiden over a mile.
The son of Mull Of Kintyre mare Million Waves was bred in Ireland by Tom Darcy and Vincent McCarthy and was sold for 170,000gns at last year’s December Sale at Tattersalls.
Raven’s Pass’s first winner Lovely Pass backed up her maiden victory on debut with a good run in Listed company at Royal Ascot when third to New Approach colt Tha’Ir in the Chesham Stakes, while the Breeders’ Cup Classic winner has also been represented by the 88-rated Snowboarder and promising Glorious Goodwood winner Steeler.
Raven's Pass, who stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland, is now the sire of six first-crop winners.
