Shirocco sires Stakes winning juvenile
Windfinder remains unbeaten when taking the Premio Criterium Labronico
Shirocco sired his 11th Stakes winner on Sunday evening in Italy when his juvenile son Windfinder won his second race in as many starts in the Listed Premio Criterium Labronico over 1500m at Livorno, recording a two length triumph.
Bred by Ms Nichola Randall, Windfinder is out of the Chilean-bred mare Clarita Dear (Hussonet), a close relative of G1 El Derby heroine Hush Money.
Shirocco enjoyed a prosperous Glorious Goodwood at the start of this month with two Group winners on the same day. Brown Panther took the G2 Goodwood Cup and now has the long-term aim of the Melbourne Cup, whilst Wild Coco took the G3 Lillie Langtry Stakes for the second successive year, with her aim a well deserved first G1 success.
