The last time most of us saw Raven's Pass was when he scorched past Curlin in the stretch en route to winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic in Santa Anita. Breeders visiting the December sales in Newmarket next week will have a chance to see him up close before he heads to Ireland to take up stallion duties at Kildangan Stud for 2009.
But he's not the only treat in store for visitors to Dalham Hall Stud next week: new stallion Ramonti, Teofilo, Authorized and Shirocco will be brought from Ireland for the week and, as if one Derby winner isn't enough, Authorized will have to share the spotlight with another exciting new recruit to the Darley ranks, New Approach, as well as the regular Dalham Hall residents not on shuttle duties in Australia.
The stallions are available for viewing from Sunday, 30 November to Friday, 5 December at 11am, 1pm and 3pm daily. There will be a minibus shuttle service running from the sales at Tattersalls and visitors arriving in their own vehicles are advised to use the HGV gate off Duchess Drive.
