Talented juvenile Sokar claimed the second Listed victory of his debut campaign when recording a four-length win in the Prix Sablonnets over a mile at Nantes on Wednesday.
The Slickly colt has now won four of his six starts, including the Listed Criterium du Fonds European de l’Elevage at Deauville in August, in which he beat Canwinn (Refuse To Bend) by a neck. Nantes was also the scene of his first run – and first win - in April, in a five-furlong maiden.
Sokar, who was bred by Mme de la Heronniere, is a half-brother to four winners and is out of the Courtroom mare Mia Stella, who ran 35 times for three wins and seven places.
He is one of four Stakes winners for Slickly this year alongside Gris Tendre, Gris de Gris and Libertador.
