Longhunter, a son of Dalham Hall Stud resident Halling, added the Listed Alligator Alley Stakes to his tally of wins when running home the easy winner over a mile on Gulfstream Park's turf course on Saturday.
Bred by Derek and Jean Clee, the three-year-old colt was also a stakes winner last year in Ireland, where he won the Listed Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh in September when trained by Kevin Prendergast. He also won on debut at Leopardstown in May.
Now under the care of Christophe Clement, Longhunter, who is out of the Night Shift mare Dawnus, finished second on his first US start before following up with this win.
Halling, who stands this season at Dalham Hall Stud for £10,000, is the sire of Group One winners Cavalryman and Cutlass Bay and broodmare sire of Group One winners Folk Opera and new Darley stallion Vale Of York.
