Ambition, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, continued her rise up the ranks on Saturday, 6 June when taking the G2 Prix Corrida at Lyon-Parilly. Unraced at two, she had progressed with each run last year, culminating with a G3 triumph in the Prix Fille de l’Air in November.
Making her seasonal debut in the 2200m contest, she was held up off the slow early fractions under jockey Mickael Barzalona, before making her move in the straight, quickening past her rivals to win by a neck.
Bred by Ashbrittle Stud & M H Dixon, Ambition is the first foal of New Approach’s G1 Oaks winner Talent, who was also placed in the G1 St Leger and G1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes
Dubawi has sired 182 individual Stakes winners including 41 that have struck at the highest level. Just in 2020, Dubawi has sired eight Group winners including Friday’s impressive G1 Coronation Cup winner Ghaiyyath.
