Postponed added to his G1 tally on Saturday 26 March when he easily landed the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan. The five-year-old entire son of Dubawi had previously won his last three starts including a thrilling victory in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes last season at Ascot.
Making his second start under the care of Roger Varian, he was midfield early and cruising to the lead two furlongs from home only had to be nudged out for a two length triumph over the Japanese raider Duramente.
Bred by St Albans Bloodstock LLP, Postponed is out of the winning Dubai Destination mare Ever Rigg, who is due again to Dubawi in 2016, and is herself a daughter of the Irish G1-winning juvenile Bianca Nera.
Dubawi, who recently sired his 100th individual Stakes winner, sired a World leading 11 G1 winners in 2015 including first-season stallions Night Of Thunder and Hunter’s Light.
