Possibly Perfect for daughter of Kheleyf

Charlie Em wins her second Stakes race in the US

Charlie Em, a four-year-old daughter of Kheleyf, won her second US stakes race at Santa Anita when victorious in the mile-and-a-half Possibly Perfect Handicap. The winner of the G3 Senorita Stakes on her US debut last season, she had a perfect trip through the race in third before challenging Customer Base in the straight, getting up close to the wire to win by a head, with a gaping four-and-a-half lengths back to the third.

Bred by Highfield Park, Charlie Em is a daughter of the Hilary Needer winner Miss Meggy and a half-sister to this season's highly-rated three-year-old sprinter Eccleston.

Charlie Em is one of four winners, from only five runners, that comes from the Kheleyf with Pivotal mares cross. Another recent exponent of this being the four-time winner Joey's Destiny, successful earlier this month at Nottingham and now rated over 100 by Timeform.

With 42 career Stakes horses, Kheleyf has also sired top-class Sprinter Sayif and multiple Group-winner juvenile Penny's Picnic, one of his record-breaking 42 individual juvenile winners in Europe in 2012.
