Dubawi sires his eight Stakes winner of October and 37th of 2021 on Thursday, 28 October when his five-year-old daughter Maamora landed the Listed Fleur de Lys Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield.
Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, this was her second Black Type win, having previously won the G3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown last August.
After taking a keen hold early on in the mile contest, the mare ran on well to lead over a furlong out, keeping on strongly to the line in the hands of James Doyle.
Bred by Godolphin, Maamora is out of the Listed-winning Azamour mare Zoowraa, herself a half-sister to the dam of Champion three-year-old and dual G1 winner Hungry Heart.
Dubawi has now sired a world-leading 37 Stakes winners in 2021, with no fewer than eight in October alone, led by Creative Force’s impressive win in the G1 British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot and Space Blues’ thrilling victory in the G1 Prix de la Foret on Arc day at Longchamp.
