New Stakes winner for Too Darn Hot

Native Approach wins the Listed Business Bay Challenge on just his fourth start

Not seen since finishing fifth in the G3 Craven Stakes, Native Approach made up for lost time with an impressive victory in the Listed Business Bay Challenge over 1400m at Meydan on Friday, 20 December.
Β
Settled towards the rear of the field, he showed a blistering turn of foot to sweep down the outside in the final 200m to win going away under William Buick.

Β
Trained by Charlie Appleby, the Godolphin homebred is the third foal out of the Listed-winning Shamardal mare Sperry, making him a three-parts brother to Dubawi’s G3-winning son Discovery Island.
Β
It has been another brilliant season for Too Darn Hot whose highlights include Classic winner Fallen Angel and G1-winning juvenile Hotazhell. He is also the sire of Australia’s three-time G1 winner and Champion juvenile Broadsiding.

He will stand the 2025 season at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of Β£90,000, Oct 1, SLF.Β
