Dubawi has taken one step closer to siring 100 Group winners when his son Jordan Sport became winner number 95 in the G3 Mahab Al Shimaal. Run over six furlongs on Meydan’s dirt course, he was quickly away and never saw another rival, eventually winning easily by over seven lengths from Exceed And Excel’s recent Group winner Yalta. Clocking an exceptional time of 1:10.18, he lowered Meydan’s track record.
Jordan Sport is a brother to Akeed Mofeed, who netted nearly £2.5 Million in prize money when winning races like the G1 Hong Kong Vase and Hong Kong Derby. His dam, the Tiger Hill-mare Wonder Why also has a juvenile filly by Dubawi.
He is the second dirt Stakes performer of the season in Dubai for the Dubawi-Tiger Hill-mare cross after Don’t Give Up, who won two races before finishing second in the Listed Curlin Handicap.
Dubawi has already sired six Stakes winners in 2018 including the highly rated Group-winning Godolphin duo Benbatl and Rare Rhythm.
