Two-year-old colt Fa Ul Sciur opened Farhh’s winners’ account back in June and on Sunday, 24 September he became the second Black Type winner for his first-season sire with an easy victory in the Listed Premio Rumon in Rome.
Fa Ul Scuir was settled in third position and travelling well throughout the seven-and-a-half-furlong contest, eased to the front once asked for his effort and eventually won by two and a half lengths from Summer Festival (Poet's Voice).
This was his third win in four starts, with his only defeat to date being his second place in the Listed Premio Giuseppe de Montel.
Fa Ul Sciur was bred by Azienda Agricola Francesca SRL and is out of the Group-winning Dubai Destination mare Rosa del Dubai, making him a half-brother to two Stakes winners including this year’s G2 Oaks d’Italia winner Folega. Rosa del Dubai is dam of a further Black Type performer in Premio Ubaldo second Facia de Tola (New Approach).
Farhh himself won on his only start at two, winning a seven-furlong maiden at Newmarket by no fewer than six lengths. He then progressed through the ranks, finishing second in the G1 Juddmonte International, G1 Eclipse, G1 Sussex Stakes and G1 Prix du Moulin before rounding off his racing career with victories in the G1 Lockinge Stakes (which he won by four lengths) and the G1 Champions Stakes.
