Fast Company added a new Black Type winner to his record in fine style on Saturday, 10 November when his daughter Company Asset flew home to win the 10-furlong Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster.
Settled at the rear of the field under jockey Kevin Stott, Company Asset was still last rounding the final turn but once asked for her effort in the home straight, picked up superbly and swept past her rivals to win by two and a quarter lengths. This was the sixth career victory for Kevin Ryan’s charge.
Company Asset was bred by Newlands House Stud and is out of the winning Gulch mare Changari, herself a daughter of juvenile Stakes winner Danzari.
Fast Company, whose best-bred crops are yet to reach the racecourse, is also sire of G1 winners Jet Setting and Robert Bruce (who won this year’s Arlington Million), plus Norfolk Stakes winner Baitha Alga.
Fast Company stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland at a fee of €12,000, Oct 1, SLF.
