Dubawi’s influence on the world thoroughbred breeding scene was again evident when My Oberon celebrated his Australian debut with victory in the G2 Crystal Mile at The Valley on Saturday, 22 October.
First-up for Sydney trainer Annabel Neasham, My Oberon (John Allen) stormed home in the straight to beat Banker’s Choice and Buffalo River to win his third Stakes race.
Out of the Irish mare My Titania, the six-year-old gelding took his record to six wins and five placings from 17 starts for prize money of $780,951.
Dubawi was a triple G1 winner during a short eight-start career on the racetrack and has sired an amazing 53 G1 winners worldwide, including Benbatl, Postponed, Lucky Nine, Space Blues, Too Darn Hot and Ghaiyyath.
