Promising filly Musis Amica became the latest winner for her first-season sire Dawn Approach on Friday, 10 November with a first-time-out victory at Saint-Cloud.
Settled in mid division under Mickael Barzalona, Andre Fabre’s charge began to make headway once entering the straight and battled superbly against eventual second Amazing Lips to take the lead close to home and win by just over a length.
Musis Amica is out of the G2-placed Darshaan mare White Star, making her a half-sister to Halling’s G2 Prix Eugene Adam Stakes winner Harland. White Star is herself a daughter of triple G1 winner and prolific Black Type producer White Star Line.
Dawn Approach already has four Group or Stakes horses in his first crop, a number which can be beaten only by Dabirsim. They include G2 filly Mary Tudor and G3 Silver Flash third Dawn Delivers.
Dawn Approach stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €20,000 Oct 1, Special Live Foal.
