Move Up, a progressive three-year-old son of Dubawi, stepped up to Group company in style on Sunday 4 September when running out the ready winner of the G2 International Bosphorus Cup. Under a confident Mickael Barzalona ride, he responded well to hands-and-heels in the straight to win impressively. A lightly-raced colt, this was his fourth victory in only seven career starts.
Bred by The Lavington Stud, Move Up is out of the G1-performing Soviet Star mare Rosinka, who is herself a half-sister to the North American G1-winner King’s Drama.
Dubawi has sired 10 G1 performers so far this year including Postponed, the best older horse in Europe and top four-year-olds Time Test, Dartmouth and Mubtaahij, who went so close in the G1 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday.
