The Ralph Beckett-trained Olynard is the latest winner for Exceed And Excel, who has just been crowned Champion first-season sire in Australia.
His European tally now stands at 13 individual winners thanks to Olynard’s second-start win in a five-furlong maiden at Lingfield. Bred by Redmyre Bloodstock and John Cullinan, the colt is out of the Blushing Flame mare Reddening and is a half-brother to Stakes-placed sprinter Pivotal Flame.
Dispol Kylie, by Kheleyf, won the third race of her short career when running out the three-and-a-half length winner of the nursery at Thirsk, also over five furlongs. The Cenutry Farms-bred filly changed hands three times as a foal and yearling for small sums but has since proved her worth on the racecourse with victory in three of her five starts to date, incuding on her racecourse debut on 17 April.
Kheleyf, who stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland, is Europe’s leading sire of two-year-olds with 20 individual winners of 28 races, including G3 winner Percolator.
