The Bryan Smart-trained Loukoumi became Iffraaj’s latest winner on Sunday when landing the first division of Newcastle’s seven-furlong maiden on her third racecourse appearance.
Out of the Machiavellian mare Odalisque, Loukoumi was bred by Lady Legard and Sir Tatton Sykes and races in the partnership name of Legard, Sidebottom and Sykes.
Iffraaj’s mighty haul of 28 individual first-crop winners includes three black-type performers, Zacynthus, Free Art and King David, while the unbeaten Wootton Bassett, winner of the DBS Premier Yearling Stakes, holds a Timeform rating of 111p and the dual scorer Forjatt is rated 108p.
