Second Generation, from the second crop of 2,000 Guineas hero Dawn Approach, gained a very valuable Stakes win on Thursday, 19 July when landing the Listed Prix des Reves d'Or at Vichy in France. Run over 1000m, the juvenile filly was always prominent under Tony Piccone before asserting to land her third career race.
She is a daughter of the Iffraaj mare El Manati, who broke her maiden as a juvenile at Leicester by nine lengths before going onto run a close third in the G3 Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot.
Dawn Approach has sired five Group performers from his first crop including Classic filly Musis Amica, Mary Tudor, who lines up in the G1 Darley Irish Oaks on Saturday and Fajjaj, a close second in the German 2,000 Guineas back in May.
