Red Stars, winner of the Listed Lenebane Stakes at Roscommon last season, doubled her Stakes tally on Sunday, 15 October when rallying gamely to win the Bluebell Stakes at Naas. The four-year-old daughter of Manduro has been a model of consistency this season, coming into the race on the back of thirds in the Listed Oyster Stakes at Galway and the Listed Martin Molony Stakes at Limerick.
Bred by Maurice Regan, Red Stars is a daughter of the winning Galileo-mare Magen’s Star, a relative of the superb Classic winner Simple Verse.
Manduro, the brilliant Horse of the Year and Timeform world Champion, has sired six G1 winners including French top-flight juvenile scorers Ultra and Mandaean and top fillies Ribbons and Charity Line. This season he also has France's top stayer Vazirabad, who recently won the G1 Prix du Cadran, G2-winner Time To Choose, Chester Listed winner Duretto and Classic winner High As A Kite.
