Lesstalk In Paris lands French Guineas trial
Lesstalk In Paris was a very useful performer for her sire Cape Cross as a juvenile, landing the G3 Prix d’Aumale en route to a close second in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac, and she could not have made a more pleasing three-year-old debut when taking the G3 Prix de la Grotte at Longchamp.
With no-one wanting to take up the running in the one-mile contest, Jean-Claude Rouget’s charge was forced to make the pace and she was never headed, finishing superbly to win by three-quarters of a length from Straight Thinking, with Indonésienne (winner of the aforementioned G1 Prix Marcel Boussac) finishing third in this French Guineas trial.
Bred in Ireland by Skymarc Farm Inc, Lesstalk In Paris is out of the Linamix mare Top Toss, who also landed the Prix d’Aumale as a two-year-old. She is dam of two winners and two Black type performers from two foals to race.
Cape Cross is also sire this year of UAE Derby runner up Asmar (who also landed the Listed Al Bastakiya during his campaign in Dubai), plus fellow G2 performer Maputo and Windhoek – a close second in the Winter Derby last month.
He stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €30,000, October 1st Special Live Foal.
