Following his progeny's outstanding performances at Meydan, with Calming Influence's impressive victory in the Godolphin Mile followed by Allybar's agonisingly close-up third in the Dubai World Cup, King's Best continued his fantastic start to the season last weekend.
On Sunday, Simon de Montfort secured his place in next month's G1 Prix du Jockey Club when landing the G3 Prix La Force and in the process, became the fourth individual Group winner for King's Best this year.
Only three stallions in the northern hemisphere can boast such a statistic - the other two being fellow Darley stallion Street Cry and leading American sire Unbridled's Song, making this a very select group indeed.
With other hugely exciting horses to look forward to as the flat season progresses, including Greyfrischorista (who lines up in Saturday's 2,000 Guineas); and the Epsom-bound Workforce, it would be no surprise to see King's Best's year continue to go from strength to strength.
