Kheleyf filly remains unbeaten
Three-year-old Kheleyf filly Arcadia Rose remained unbeaten and became the 16th Stakes winner for her sire with a determined victory in the Listed Belgravia Stakes over 6f at Ascot, Western Australia on October 19.
After jumping well from an inside barrier, Arcadia Rose enjoyed a lovely trail in behind the leaders until peeling out on the home turn. The filly showed a blistering turn of foot to burst away from the rest of the field inside the final two furlongs and then dug deep over the concluding stages to hold on for her third victory in as many starts.
A homebred for Peters Investments Pty Ltd, Arcadia Rose is the first foal out of three-time winning Redoute’s Choice mare Arcadia, who ran fourth in the G3 Champagne Stakes at Moonee Valley as a three-year-old.
Kheleyf, Europe’s premier sire of two-year-old winners, is also sire this year of G1 two-year-old colt Big Time, second by just half a length in the Phoenix Stakes last month.
